KX Series back posts are built with a sturdy laminated design to deliver optimum rigidity and superior tuning stability. All KX Series models offer three brass pedals (soft, practice and sustain). The center pedal activates the mute rail for quiet practice playing
KX Series hammers are made of 100% pure wool felt and have been designed for optimum voicing and lasting performance. The use of ABS Styran in our piano actions is one of the chief reasons why a Kawai piano will maintain stable touch and tone over time better than any other piano. Endorsed by piano technicians and proven superior in scientific tests, ABS Styran is supported by over thirty years of proven reliability in Kawai pianos.
All KX Series pianos are built to demanding specifications and must pass the strictest quality assurance tests. The KX Series Pianos feature an Ultra-Responsive, direct-blow action that offers excellent feel and touch. To make the action resistant to climatic changes in temperature and humidity, Kawai pioneered the use of aluminum action rails, aluminum hammer rests and precision parts made of extremely stable, low-friction ABS Styran.
