Please us if you would like to visit our showroom in Johannesburg in the meantime we trust you will find something of interest on this site!
Over the years, we have steadily increased and adapted our product ranges in response to both customer demand and environmental concerns. We have drastically reduced our range of ebony carvings and are cutting back on other products carved from endangered indigenous hard wood species. By actively marketing eco-friendly goods made from banana fibre, sisal, cow bone and beads we hope to further reduce the demand for hard woods. We are also gradually encouraging both our suppliers and our customers to switch to good wood alternatives such as Jacaranda and Neem.
Due to fluctuating exchange rates, prices are only available upon request and are dependant on volumes ordered and payment terms. We have a reputation in South Africa of being one of the few wholesalers to ever reduce prices when exchange rates improve!
We are capable of fulfilling large export orders (up to 40 containers) F.O.B. Nairobi, Kenya, but generally supply smaller orders from our showroom and warehouse in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In Kenya we buy directly from the craftsmen where possible. Through our growth and expansion we have witnessed suppliers who once lived in mud huts, now achieving their dreams of owning a stone house with electricity!
The company was established as a wholesaler of Kenyan handicrafts in 1993 when the owner moved to South Africa from Kenya. We have subsequently developed and expanded our range to include South African made products.
