We have, up for auction, an AUGUST FORSTER GRAND PIANO, Circa 1895, the finish is Polished Ebony, model number is 170, length, from the back of the piano to the keys, is 58. The Piano was completedly restored, in Germany, in March of 2000.
The Forster Piano Company originated in 1859 in Lobau, Germany. Forster produces only 120 Grand Pianos a year. Their pianos are handcrafted by skilled Craftsmen. Each piano has over 12,000 parts. This beautiful Grand Piano was completed restored in Lobau Germany in March of 2000. The restoration included new covers on the 85 keys, a new finish, and soundboard.
