1980 Yamaha SL-450S Guitar

The Lord of the Studio! It surely is - and this one is one of the very first... you can tell by looking at the
headstock. The really early ones had the open-book Gibson-style headstock while most later versions
had the unique Yamaha headstock design that adorns SA and SG models as well as the SL line.
This guitar is in great player condition, so if you don't mind the cosmetic bumps and bruises, it's otherwise
set up to play well and for many, many years. Great fast neck. Great frets - all you'd want and more from a
good vintage Paul. I especially like the finish on this one - the body aged to a real nice 2-tone sunburst,
or as some call it, tobaccoburst. I didn't really clean it up too much... if you look at the headstock photo, I
quickly cleaned the area where the logo is, but not the cloudy surrounding areas. This guitar would clean
up extremely well if you spent a little time with it. The important thing is that it sounds and plays great
