This Japanese replica Les Paul is the most expensive, most rare, model to date known to collectors. ESP made very few
of these. The finish is old aged nitro, just like the originals and has been aged beautifully, like a '59 would look today.
It has less checking than others and has only a few very tiny finish nicks, mostly on the back/bottom you can see below.
This guitar has a solid, bookmatched flamed maple top, 1-piece mahogany neck and 1-piece mahogany back. Like
the others of the era, it has a Jacaranda rosewood fretboard. It is fairly light for a solid top Les Paul. As ESP Navigator
luthiers say, "We ask the wood what it wants to be, and then create the instrument." This one wanted to be king. This
is the next best thing to the $100,000+ originals and is a better deal than my other one, since it has a few minor finish
blemishes. The guitar is rated as 9/10 condition and has no fret wear. Just needs a little buffing on the areas that show
fingerprints and hazing. The metal will also shine up if you want to do it, but it's a '59 replica and surely plays the part well.
