As the only guitarist in my band, I have a lot of sonic space to fill, and the Firewires certainly did the trick, providing thick, resonant lows and singing highs. With any other brand, I'd feel compelled to change my strings before each gig, fearing I might break a string or suffer a serious drop-off in tone if I didn't do so. Thanks to the Firewires' durability, I was able to play several gigs with one set, which not only saved me a lot of time and effort before shows, but also allowed me to play gigs with that comfortable,"broken-in" feeling that you normally only get at home. The Firewires also held their tune better than the strings I'd used previously, and that saved me a lot of headaches and sour notes on stage. All in all, I was quite impressed. Thanks, Firewire!
