10.2 Replacement cylinders: Use exclusively Primus Propane and Butane gas cylinders 2008,2012,2014,2016,2018 with this appliances propane cylinder to be used with propane gas appliance and butane cylinder to be used with butane gas appliance.
10.1 Use only Primus brand spares and accessories. Be careful when fitting spares and accessories. Avoid touching hot parts.

9. SERVICE AND REPAIR
8.2 New sealing O-rings are availale from your local dealer.
8.1 Always ensure that the O-ring sealing is in place and in good condition. Always check this each timeprior to fitting the appliance. Replace the O-ring if it is damaged or worn.
8. ROUTINE SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE
7.7 Go through section 4.6 pre-burning the mantle.
7.6 Re-fit the Jet Nipple and screw it on tightly to ensure a gas seal.Re-fit the cylinder by following the description in section 4.For extra safety,check the joint with warmsoapy water. If bubbles appear, the joint is not tight enough.
7.5 Clean out the jet nipple by blowing through the tiny hole at the front.Do not use an incorrect size picker or any type of pin etc. to clean the blockage or you may damage the hole and make the appliance unsale.
7.4 Un screw the jet nipple(10) by using a 6mm spanner or Primus 7206 jet nipple spanner.
7.3 Un screw the valve of the appliance from the bumer.
7.2 Fully turn off the control knob (2) and unsrew the cylinder(3).
Cleaning the Jet Nipple
7.1 If gas pressure drops or the gas does not light,check if there is any gas left in the cylinder(3).If so,the Jet Nipple(10) might be blocked.
7. Maintenance
6.1 Shut the valve completely.Make sure the flame is extinguished and that no other fire nearty.Change the gas cylinder outdoors and out of reach of other people.Unscrew the appliance valve from the valve of the gas cylinder and replace the O-ring sealing the appliance if it is cracked or worm.Avoid cross threading by putting the valve of the appliance aquarely onto the thread of the cylinder and screw on hand tight only,as described in section 4.
6 CHANGING THE GAS CYLINDER
5.6The foldable handle allows the lanterm to be carried.When lantern is hung from a ceiling or similar the distance to inflammable material must be a minium of 200 mm to avoid a fire hazard.
5.5 After use,ensure that the valve is fully shut(control knob fully clockwise).
5.4 After lighting,operate the appliance upright and do not move it around.Flaring may occour if the appliance has not fully warmed,or if it is moved carelessly.
5.3 Adjust the size of the flame by turning the contol knob(2).
5.2 Turn the knob anticlockwise and light the burner(4) immediately (with the Piezo igniter(9) if standard).
5.1 Always operater the gas cylinder and appliance on a firm level of surface.
5. Operating the appliance.
Note: When the mantle has been burned off, it is very brittle and care should be taken not to damage it. Do not use the lantern with a damaged,amtle as this may cause the glass to crack. Spare mantles are available from your local dealer.
4.8 The lantern is now ready for use.
4.7 When the mantle has been fully burnt off. Replace the lantern glass the top.
4.6 Pre-burning the mantle. Remove the lantern top and glass. Fit the mantle over the flange of the burner and tie it on. Light the mantle with a match or a lighter all around and allow to burn off for a few minutes until the mantle turns white and reduces into a ball shape. The gas must be turned off during preburning.
4.5 Ensure that a complete gas seal has been made. If you have to check the gas soundness of the appliance, do this outdoors. Do not check for leak with a naked flame. Use warm soapy water only, applied to the joints and connections of the appliance. Any leakage will show up as bubbles around the leakage area. If you are in doubt or you can hear or smeel gas , do not attempt to light the appliance. Unscrew the gas appliance and return it to your local dealer.
4.4 Screw the gas appliance onto the gas cylinder. Be careful not to fit the cylinder cross threaded. Note: screw handtight only. Do not overtighten or you will damage the cylinder valve.
4.3 Plce the valve squarely on top of the gas cylinder valve.
4.2 Keep the gas cylinder in an upright position when connecting the gas appliance.
4.1 Ensure that the control knob is turned off(turned fully clockwise)
4. Assembling the appliance
3.3 Do not misuse the appliance, or use it for anything for which it has not been desighed.
3.2 Storage: always unscrew the gas appliance from the gas cylinder when not in use. The gas cylinder should be stored in dry sale place out of the reach of heat sources.
