The pack cat is the boat that started the paddle cat revolution. We decided that the same reason catarafts perform better than rafts, should apply to inflatable kayaks and paddle cats. We were right. Lighter weight, increased maneuverability, instant self-bailing, and easier transportation are the main reasons why this could be the boat for you. The pack cat is only 30 lbs. with the frame, and can be packaged up into a very small space. It is excellent for travel on airlines. We have many customers who take these boats with them on vacation to Mexico, Australia, or just about anywhere there is water and an airport. The light weight makes them easy to pack in or out of a river. If you have a sense for adventure, the pack cat will take you places where no other boat can go. It is guaranteed to do lower stream flows with larger gear loads than any other craft on the market. This includes all makes of kayaks and canoes. We should know. We built it to run the rivers of the southwest, and there are some real nice runs that can be done in pack cat with ease, or another boat with a struggle.
