PREPARATION OF THE SOLES
In order to assure a sufficiently tough bond between the polyurethanic mass and the rubber tread its necessary a previous treatment of the tread itself in its surface concerned with coupling.

TRIMMING
The product extracted from the moulds presents some burrs of moulding that are removed by means of semiautomatic machines, driven by an operator because the variety of the burrs and the variability of the articles make not suitable the use of robot machines.

The moulds- consisting of two metallic semishells- have their housing on the plate of moulding press and are closed during the stage of the vulcanization at a pressure of 400 tons. All the moulding parameters (temperature, time, degassings, etc.) are preset on the control PLC, also adopting the necessary alterations due to changes of mould and/or mix.

RUBBER MOULDING
The moulding of the soles takes place by vulcanization means of suitable moulding presses: the rubber preformed products are put by the operator inside the mould that- when closed and at a temperature of about 170
