Ferri slope mowers are designed to mow behind the tractor, and can also be offset to reach out and down a bank. These are truly versatile machines for mowing roadsides, ditch banks, orchards,
and even hedge rows.
The ZMT mower is designed to go on a Category 2 three point hitch tractor. Minimum tractor horsepower is 50, and minimum tractor weight is 4900 pounds. The tractor weight is an
important factor to consider before hooking up a slope mower. Tractor stability is critical when the mower is fully offset, and the flail head is off the ground.
The ZMT has a hammer blade option that will handle twigs and brush up to 2" in diameter. Most of the ZMT mowers that we sell are fitted with the hammer blade. This blade does an excellent job
of grass cutting as well as brush shredding. The standard Y-flail handles material up to 1" diameter. The prices shown below are for ZMT models fitted with hammer blades. ZMT
mowers fitted with Y-flails are slightly cheaper.
ZMT-E models are designed to offset farther than the standard ZMT. Keep in mind that ZMT-E models will not be able to mow directly behind the tractor; they will always be slightly
offset. For full specifications please download the spec sheet from the Resource section of the web site.
