This measuring device is particularly suitable for the sharpening accuracy measurements of sharpened hob taken by gear manufactruer for gear hobbing quality control, and individual accuracy measurement, such as hob profile, necessary for hob manufacturing in the tool works.With aid of model 3802 hob lead measuring machine, it can form a complete set by which all main measuring accuracies can be tested for gear hob.

A. Applications:

This hob tester is specially designed for checking the profile errors of gear hob, worm gear hob and spline hob, radial error in front face of hobbing cutter, parallelism of front face and bore axis, lead error of flute, adjacent and maximum accumulated pitch errors in flute, as well as well as diameter and lateral runout of shaft shoulder.
