The Almanac Timer is designed such that a relay is operated in conjunction with the sun rise and sunset according to the local time of the place where it is located. All that is required is to key in the Green Witch mean time, Longitude, Latitude and the hemisphere of the place where it has to be installed. The timer calculates the sun rise and set time on the day of the year and accordingly switches on the relay at sun set and switches it off at sun rise. An additional Light Dependent Resistor Input is also provided so that in case the ambient light goes down the relay switches on.The Timer displays the time in hour, minutes and seconds. It also displays the date, month and year. The day of the week is displayed by 7 LEDs.
