Each MeterMaid can control two water meters simultaneously, each with its individually set flow limits. A typical MeterMaid application is for hot and cold water delivery to a residential or commercial building.

MeterMaid is a companion product for electronic water meters. MeterMaid continually reads any electronic water meter and uses the meter readings to monitor water use. Water use readings are compared against set flow limits. When a flow limit is exceeded MeterMaid shuts off or limits water delivery by activating an electronic delivery valve. A MeterMaid can be programmed for varying flow limit settings to accommodate the typical water use for any time-of-day.
