The cradle clips onto various types of mounts. The simplest is a low profile dash mount which has a flexible base with self adhesive tape. This type of mount is the cheapest and suits most vehicles, but the most commonly used is the flexible boom with windshield suction cup. The HR version has a special cam system to maintain very high suction and a ball adjustment at the cradle end. The latter allows the user to quickly adjust the angle to cancel sun reflections when driving.

To secure the mobile device, it is positioned on the base of the cradle and the two arms are squeezed against each side. To release, simply press the button, and the ratchets snap open.
