GWA-627XT Outdoor WiFi unit 5 GHz

GWA-627XT have 2 integrated high-gain 16.5 dB antennas, one in vertical and one in horizontal polarization. Design of those antennas has been carefully prepared in CST MICROWAVE STUDIO (tm) in close cooperation with Czech Technical University in Prague.
     In Additional to antennas, which polarization is controlled by high-quality Hittite RF Switch, customer can connect external antenna over integrated RP-SMA connector as well. Special antennas output configuration, when integrated antenna is used for transmit and extranal antenna is used for receiving is possible as well. This solution give the customer possibility to create long lines without braking TX Power limitation in his country.
     On the back side of unit, there are 8 Leds, showing the status of the unit, signal strengh and booting in clear and easy to underestand ways. To switch led functions to antenna aligment mode, just press of the button on the unit is needed. All the leds become to act as signal strengh indicator, plus audible aligment by integrated speaker is enabled. The second button is used for reset of the unit, or restore original configuration. This procedures can be done from power injector remotelly as well.
     The unit itself used well known atheros solution, accompanied by seconf microCPU. This CPU control the leds and buttons, as well as taking care of input power and board temperature measurement. When due malfunction main ATHEROS CPU stops responding - second processor may perform the right action to re-estabilish connection.
