Integrated wireless systems

Separated Wireless Systems:
For applications requiring measurement at deeper levels and/or longer communication ranges, the radio head is mounted on a separate stake. The sensor can be buried to any depth and is hard wired up through the stake to the radio head. Other sensors such as humidity and ambient temperature can also be incorporated into the radio head section.

Integrated wireless systems:
This sensor has integrated wireless capability to remove the need for cabling infrastructure, and measures soil moisture, soil conductivity and soil temperature. It is easy to install and move around and is useful for measuring at depths up to 200 mm. It has been designed for use in pots or with shallow rooted plants. The radio range is 50-100 metres although longer distances can be achieved by passing the signal along a chain of sensors back to the logger.

Hard wired networked systems:
This is a network of sensors hard wired to a central logger and control module. This system measures and logs soil moisture, soil temperature and soil conductivity. The sensors can be buried to any depth. The Senviro logger module stores these data streams, provides power to the sensors and allows software variation of the moisture set points. It can be interfaced with standard irrigation controllers to control the watering based on the set points, or there is a version which also functions as an irrigation controller.
