The TJ2050 is part of the TJ2000 series of Carrier-Ethernet platforms from Tejas Networks. It is a compact, redundant Carrier-class Ethernet transport solution designed for use in the access/metro
network. The TJ2050 enables highly-scalable Ethernet switched networks through the adoption of the cutting edge PBB/PBB-TE technologies. The TJ2050 supports sub-50ms protection for traffic carried
on PBB-TE tunnels as well as PBB Rings. It also supports Connectivity Fault Management based Ethernet OAM, thus making it the ideal platform to deliver high-availability Ethernet services. It has
extensive support for Multicast traffic, including E-TREE and IGMP Snooping. It also supports sub-50ms protection for Multicast traffic in a ring, thus enabling service providers to roll out
reliable Triple Play services (including IP-TV), efficiently and quickly. The TJ2050 supports 8 CoS levels and with support for Hierarchical QoS, these can be extended to even individual services
or applications. This enables service providers to offer highly differentiated services.
