Like a base-station in a cellular or PCS network, BlueStation forms a service area within a distance from itself. BlueStation is wired to the Internet and it connects Bluetooth enabled devices in the service area to the local network and the Internet. This Bluetooth based approach provides higher speed access and cost advantages over using mobile phones to access 2G or 3G carrier services. BlueStation will automatically detect each device, authenticate, and provide a proper level of network access services. When users roam outside the BlueStation service area, their cellular or PCS carriers continue to provide a level of services. |
