The MZN-101 module is used to operate remote electric energy meters by means of the GSM/GPRS communication network. The unit can supervise any remote object by means of binary inputs, too.
The operated meters can run digital interface with one of the following communication protocols: IEC1107, IEC1142, DLMS and others required. Available transmission interfaces used to read
data from meters are: CLO and optionally RS-485. In one CLO channel there may be up to 4 meters plugged in. The RS-485 channel can operate up to 32 devices.
Transmission between the module and the data gathering center is performed through the GSM/GPRS connection with encapsulated the Modbus , DNP 3.0 or other protocol.
The MZN-101 module is equipped with two binary inputs and one binary output. The inputs may be used to acquire any states of an object, e.g. as a door opening detector, alarm equipment input and
the like. The output is used to synchronize electric energy meters by means of a configurable pulse.
The communication module is ready to mount on a DIN rail. Internally, it consists the following blocks: a battery buffered supply to enable module operating without external supplying, a
transmission block to send data through the GSM/GPRS connector, galvanically separated the current loop and RS-485 interfaces and a block of binary output and binary inputs. The internal GSM/GPRS
modem runs in bands 900/1800MHz, class 10.
