with iM2Mesh Node for large and
authenticated network deployments.
Authentication server works based on AAA
principle to authenticate wireless as well as
wired users.
User Based Approach: Authentication
server uses user based approach, users are
central of security threat management.
Network manager can crate limit based on
bandwidth and time. More security is added
through dynamic IP address management
and allocation during authentication process.
Users with static IP address will also be
managed through Authentication server.

AAA: Authentication server uses AAA
(Authentication, Authorization and
Accounting) approach to allow/disallow
users to access the internet which is
industry standard and proven method for
access management. Users with right
credential will be allowed to access internet
with bandwidth, access time and data
volume attributes. All users will be
authenticated against RADIUS server for
better control and security.
Browser Based Authentication:
When users connecting to use iM2Mesh
based network, they dont need to install
any software to get authenticated.
Authentication server uses browser based
authentication (just like you see in public
HotSpots) to reduce software support cost
for large network. Where users will go after
they login can be controlled based on each
individual user. You can give
unauthenticated access to some of the web
sites (Walled garden support). You can
display advertisement page or message
page when users login on. Browser based
authentication is performed with HTTPS
based web server for added security of user
name / password combination.
Bandwidth/Time/Data Volume
Management: Authentication server
allows user based limit on bandwidth, access
time and volume data transfer. When any
wired or wireless user logon to iM2Mesh
network, their internet access behavior will
be controlled by the attribute provided by
Authentication server.
Web Cache: Authentication server
running web cache module stores http
content locally in server hard drive,
delivering it on repeating request, resulting
great bandwidth savings further more
caching http request can increase user
experience dramatically.
Firewall: NetsurfCop Gateway running
firewall identifies and blocks suspicious
traffic on arrival. Firewall delivers stateful
packet inspection by checking packet
headers, protecting internal wired and
wireless network from outsiders not allowed
to access the internal network.
Failover Reliability: NetsurfCop runs
on reliable SQL database platform, all the
user data, accounting data, filtering request
and web cache request will be stored in SQL
database for comprehensive data analysis
and user internet access trend analysis.
