The Communications processor is an industrial device that combines the possibility of communicating with multiple serial devices remotely via GSM or GPRS, with advanced telemetry and metering functions.

It has 5 RS232 ports, an RS485 port, an optical fibre port, an AMR port as well as a USB console port. You can connect to any of these ports remotely and communicate with almost any serial device.

In addition, the Communications Processor has three expansion slots that can accept different combinations of digital IO, analogue inputs, pulse inputs, video cameras and a logging card that can log millions of events. Add a real-time clock with two alarm events, five timers, four counters, startup and serial events and you can see that this device can add immense value to industrial communications.

The Communication Server has an internal TCP/IP stack which means your old serial devices can take advantage of the low cost of packet communication over GPRS.

A hands-free voice option with four call buttons so that operators can call one of four pre-programmed telephone numbers from the device.

An internal battery charger with a 50VDC-370VDC/80VAC-264VAC supply makes it easy to integrate into almost any mains environment.
