Feasible outdoors wireless communicationWith its waterproof, hard aluminum case, the WOB-200 provides uninterrupted wireless communications for distances of up to 3 kilometers even in harsh environments and severe weather conditions. It is an ideal solution for setting up secure wireless networks between buildings on campuses, industrial zones, etc. It can offer Internet access with remote connections in environments where laying cables is difficult (e.g. rural areas, remote holiday sites). The WOB-200 operates in the license-free 2.4 GHz frequency band. Together with its low cost cabling, easy installation, rapid scalability and seamless integration into existing Ethernet networks, the WOB-200 operation requires little effort and is cost efficient. Advanced security features provide secure access to your network and data, and protect your local network from malicious attacks from the outside. The WOB-200 supports 64/128-bit WEP, WPA, WPA2 encryption standards and MAC Address based filtering. The AirTies WOB-200 is offered with two antenna options: 5 or 7 dBi omni-directional antenna or 9 dBi directional panel antenna. For point-to-point installations, directional antennas are used at both ends. For point-to-multipoint installations, an omni-directional antenna is located at the center while directional antennas are placed at end points. The antenna is directly mounted to the outdoor unit using the N-type RF connector on the WOB-200 eliminating any additional cost for RF cables. The WOB-200 can be configured to operate in one of two modes: Access Point mode, or Transparent Bridge/Repeater (Point-to-Point or Point-to-Multipoint) mode.
