Each module offers 4 analog ports. The general VoIP gateway functions of transferring both voice and fax medias between the PSTN network and IP network are just the basic features of the IFSP-2500. Equipped with the best DSP solutions supporting both G.723.1A and G729AB Codecs and echo cancellation and others, the gateway achieves best quality and efficiencies in the VoIP field. What makes the IFSP-2500 Very Special is that it solves the QoS problem by providing the built in traffic shaping and bandwidth control functions. IFSP-2500 can efficiently control and manage the bandwidth of data traffic by various shaping policies, such as IP address range, application types (WEB, FTP, Telnet), priority, etc. By controlling and shaping the data traffic, the voice traffic can gain the best quality and least latency. Further more, the built in shaping function can also monitor the data traffic by displaying various traffic statistics. When IFSP-2500 encounters power failure, it can offer the ability of power failure bypass. The IFSP-2500 even has an embedded gatekeeper function that can ease the dialing procedures of all registered gateways. It can set a filter table to allow only those pre-defined IP address/H323-ID to register. It can also allow some pre-defined gateways to join the registered group even if they do not have the registration ability. The IFSP-2500 also solved the IP-shortage problem.
