Unilink-S radio

Unilink-S is a full-featured radio designed to seamlessly incorporate radio links into an SDH network. The radio transports STM-1/OC-3 across a variety of frequencies from 6GHz to 40GHz, and uses proprietary ASIC modem technology and a very high level of integration to attain low cost and high performance and reliability. The system features a fully compliant SDH/SONET regenerator and provides additional benefits including automatic protection switching, in-band management using radio overhead, and tight integration with existing SDH/SONET element management systems. The Unilink-S radio system meets carrier-grade standards for reliability, quality, and environmental compliance.

  • 27.5/28/30 MHz and 50/55/56 MHz spectrum licenses

  • 128 QAM and 32 TCM

  • Superior sensitivity and phase noise immunity

  • 1+1 configurations with full redundancy and radio-link protection, including: Hot Standby, Space-Diversity, Frequency-Diversity, Tributary-Diversity: and truly hitless (errorless) receiver switching

  • E1/T1 out-of-band wayside channel plus in-band voice EOW and data EOW channels

  • SNMP management with integral routing and management of ODUs and remote IDUs

  • Remote software download

  • Local configuration backup via removable NVRAM

  • Extensive maintenance and operational capabilities

  • Future support of additional payload interfaces (PDH, Ethernet 10/100BaseT)

  • Common 1RU IDU for all frequency bands
