The 1U high SPC-155TM-4E4F/8E4F/16E4F provides up to 16*E1 links as well as 4*Ethernet ports. The products comply with all SDH/SONET standards and connect with legacy SDH/SONET backbones through a single STM-1 line. There are three options: 4*E1 and 4*10/100Base-Tx traffics; or 8*E1 and 4*10/100Base-Tx traffics; or 16*E1 and 4*10/100Base-Tx traffics

The Ethernet frames are encapsulated in SDH by using GFP (Generic Frame Protocol) and transported through the SDH network in a VC-12 or VC-3 group, configuring the bandwidth of IP channel in increments of 2Mbps. SPC-155TM-4E4F/8E4F/16E4F introduces LCAS technology, which dynamically decreases or increases the capacity of a container without interrupting the traffic, and VCAT technology to benefit the SDH/SONET network to better fit busty data traffic.
