The abrupt drop in the link gain can also be a result of a very bad VSWR characteristic of the antenna or feed element . In this case the VSWR is lower than 2.0 at very limited portion of the frequency; under and above this point the VSWR is much higher than the acceptable 2.0. This is especially true in the low cost "wideband 5.1 to 5.8 GHz" feed elements for paraboloidal reflector antennas.

The squint error means that the elevation of the mainbeam changes when the operation frequency varies. This is especially apparent in serial-fed sector or omnidirectional
antennas. The user sees a sharp drop in the signal level after the channel change. The result is decreasing of the data throughput or even loss of a microwave link.
Zero Squint Error
The series of RSLL antennas have the sidelobes level reduced by no less than a 20dB compared to the main beam. It means that the RSLL antenna will receive much less noise and undesired microwave power from other WLAN subscribers than a standard antenna.
Noise may be received through the main beam of the antenna pattern and through sidelobes. We have a very little chance to suppress noises received through the main beam, but we can to control the level of highly undesired sidelobes.
Because an antenna works in the real environment, it usually sees many manmade and natural sources of background noise like a thermal noise from the ground, cosmic noise, sun, lightnings, discharges and so on. So that the microwave power delivered to the radio will be the desired signal and noises collected from various sources.
