For indoor usage, STI-HAP1000MI is integrated with indoor antenna of gain 2~5dBi omni-directional or it could also work with ODU Omni-directional or Directional antenna to provide a wider WiFi coverage area for network access.

HAP is capable of supporting up to 200 users simultaneously from wireless access, where internal build-in with traffic shaping & QoS enable individual management of channel distribution and utilization.

Integrated and build-in with Remote Management System is one of the key typical features of the Public-HAP, where Service Provider is able to remotely control and monitor the activities and status of the deployed Public Hotspot AP.  HAP can also be configured to be dual-radio system, i.e. to provide both IEEE802.11b/g and IEEE802.11g/a simultaneously, for which both IEEE802.11a and IEEE802.11g users are able to gain access simultaneously.

Together with Hotspot Access Controller, features such as Zero-Configuration, Centralized Login, Wall-garden, Captive Portal, etc enabled mobile WiFi users login to the HAP via their RADIUS Account ID & Password, and hence to gain network access wirelessly in public hotspot access areas. HAP is a well-designed solution for every hotspot service provider and also individual owner of a localized public area (with our RADIUS Server setup or Combo Server with integrated Billing accounting solution), for which having the intention of offering individual controlled Public WiFi Access.
