REDSENSING
Systems for reading and monitoring sensors located in the environment
- 2,45 GHz operation frequency (Zigbee)
- USB connection
The RedSensing systems are based on the Ultra Low Power Wireless technology (standard IEEE 802.15.4 and ZigBee). This type of technology allows data communication via radio (medium ray - up to
some hundred meters of capacity) between two or more connected devices logically online with a small use of energy (usually provided by a battery which capacity for sensory knots is measurable in
years).
The RedSensing Io devices directly supports a variegated typology of sensors: the card is equipped with a 3-axes accelerometer, a 3-axes magnetic compass, a temperature sensor. Digital inputs and
outputs, analogic inputs and outputs are available through connectors (even 0-5V, 0-10V, 4-20mA, PT100) audio inputs and outputs. Moreover, the RedSensing electronic cards are arranged for serial
interface (asynchronous and synchronous SPI or I2C) with a second card of ad-hoc made inputs and output.
The RedSensing USB devices are also equipped with an interface which is commonly used between the desktop , laptop or handheld electronic devices and usually act as an access knot to the IEEE
802.15.4 radio net or ZigBee (they can also operate as data recorders with delayed download via USB).
RedSensing USB
The RedSensing USB devices allows to a portable PC to operate as a control box of the RedSensing Geco net. The system user, through an evolved interface, is able to parameterize all the sensory
knots and to download the acquired data up to that moment.
RedSensing Geco
The RedSensing Geco devices are activated at regular intervals of time and records in memory the reading of the temperature and movement probe connected to them. If they perceive a request of radio
connection with the control box, they prepare themselves him with the active radio to be able to download the acquired data and/or a new parameterization.
Alternative Handheld reading with BluePalm
As an alternative, to access the RedSensing Geco network sensory knots it is possible to use a BluePalm palmtop terminal series M equipped with IEEE 802.15.4 radio interface.
