DVB/H
DVB-H (digital video Broadcasting handheld) is the new digital broadcast developed by the international DVB Project, for the transmission of video, audio and data to mobile handset terminals. It
builds upon and is largely compatible with DVB-T standard for terrestrial Broadcasting . The standard describes several extensions to DVB-T, specifically tailored to the requirements of mobile
reception and transmission environments. These extensions include time-slicing to achieve reduction of terminal power consumption, seamless service handover, and increased error correction to
improve performance in typical mobile channels.
