The WDAVS (WiFi Digital A/V Sender) reference design, offers the freedom to watch TV anywhere regardless where the cable box, PVR and DVD player are. The reference design includes a
wireless digital A/V Sender and receiver. The sender delivers audio and video using WLAN or LAN in MPEG2 Transport Stream format to the wireless A/V receiver. The receiver decodes the
data sent from the sender and then delivers the audio and video to the television. Unlike solutions based on analog signals, the WDAVS uses digital signals which guarantee video and audio
quality.

Multiple A/V sources such as Cable TV, Personal Video Recorder (PVR), and DVD Player can all be connected to the WDAVS. The same program can also be viewed using computers on the network
with software that is capable of decoding MPEG2 TS data from the network. On a television equipped with the wireless receiver, programs from other sources such as digital TV from wireless
Digital TV tuner.

Based on the Wireless Digital TV Streaming Controller, the WDAVS provides flexibility in selecting wireless technology to use off-the-shelf WLAN cards, and therefore reduces the
development effort. The DAV-9153 also takes advantage of other features offered by the WDAVS such as hardware based TS to 802.11 and 802.3 format conversion, TS rate control and TCP/IP
protocol acceleration.

The WDAVS contains wireless sender and receiver demo boards, schematics, Gerber file, Streaming Controller datasheet, documentation, software and utility.
