Infra Red Receivers

The 170 started it all back in 1983. This version of the Xtra Link, Model 172, utilizes the 291-00 IR Receiver which has greatly improved range and interference rejection. The 291-01 receives the IR signals from a hand-held remote, converts them to DC control signals and passes them to the RF/IR Injector where they are mixed with the RF television signal. This combined signal is carried over a coaxial cable. At the other end of this coax the signals are separated at the RF/IR Coupler and the DC control signal is sent to an infrared emitter placed directly on the IR control window of the component you want to control.FEATURES Attractive case for shelf top locations Talkback red LED tests system for correct wiring as well as indicating infrared reception The complete 172 Xtra Link2 package includes the following: 1 - 291-00 Infrared Receiver 1 - Injector 1 - Coupler 1 - 284M Dual IR Infrared emitter 1 - DC Power Supply 172-94X kits are used along with one standard 172-94 when installing Xtra Links in more than one room.
