Durum Wheat Semolina

After completing its initial cleaning process, wheat enters the primary moisturizing machine and is transferred to the primary moisturizing silo to remain for fourteen to sixteen hours. Using an elevator, the wheat passes through another scourier machine to ensure its cleanness. Second moisturizing process then starts with the wheat entering another moisturizing machine, from which it is transferred to the secondary moisturizing silo to stay for six to eight hours until the required moisture level is obtained. At that point, wheat enters a new stage, where it passes through thirteen cylinders and two plain sifters and twenty eight purifiers to have semolina extracted and separated from other bi-products, such as flour and bran. Products are passed on to silos. The mill is equipped with four concrete silos for bran storage, one metal silo for first standard semolina, one concrete silo for normal semolina and two silos for flour. Finally, semolina is either transferred from silos to our nearby factory through pipes or to the two packaging machines serving semolina silos. As for flour and bran, the packaging machine serving the flour and bran silos carry out the job of packing products to be ready for sale and distribution.

It takes the way from the silos to enter the initial cleaning process, where pneumatic machines separate wheat from contaminating materials. Wheat continues its way to the main three blending bins with a capacity of 220 tons each. Another bucket elevator transfers the wheat to the secondary vebro-separator, and then to dry-stoner, litter, a scourier machine and other special purpose cleaning machinery.

After the pre-cleaning process ends, wheat is being transferred by chain conveys to our four main metal silos under certain air temperature conditions. Our silos are large steel bins, each with a capacity of about 5000 tons.

Our five storey building containing the wheat milling equipment is built over an area of approximately 13,300 square meters. The wheat milling process is carried out using high technology milling standards to extract semolina from 100% pure and rich durum wheat. The first step in that process is receiving the wheat trucks on the intake hopers platform, and then having them unloaded on an eighteen-meter-long grid. The wheat passes through a group of filters to have dust and metals removed. A bucket elevator lifts wheat to pass through the mills main vebro-separator located in the fifth floor.
