Copper conductor solid PE Insulated coated Al Shielded Selfsupport Local Telephone
Cable
Solid insulated filled cables are designed for duct use in local telephone network.
Flooding the core and outer surface of the core tape. With petrolatum prevents
the entrance and migration of water and provides corrosion protection. At the
environmental temperature of -30 to 60 centigrade, both the mechanical and electrical
properties of the cable remain unchanged.
Conductor: Annealed bare copper, sizes 0.32, 0.40, 0.50, 0.60, 0.70, 0.80, 0.90mm
Insulation:High density polyethylene or polypropylene, color coded in accordance
with standard telephone industry code.
Twisted Pairs: Individual conductors twisted into pairs with varying lay length
and with specified color combinations to provide pair identification.
Cable Assembly :Cables having 25 pairs are assembled in a single group. Cables having less than 25 pairs are stranded by layers.Cables having more than 25 pairs
are assembled in units, each individually identified by color coded binders. The
interstices between the pairs are filled with petrolatum filling compound. Spare
pairs will be added to the cable core with 100 pairs and/or more.
Shield: A corrugated (or non-corrugated) AL tape with both sides plastic coated
is applied to longitudinally wrap the core covering with two edges overlapped overlap
seam sealed.
Jacket: Black low mid or high density polyethylene.
Identification and marking: Cable type, specification name of manufacturer and year
of manufacture are permanently surface marked on jacket. Markings are located
at no more than alternate 1 m intervals.
