Cons: This unit may lack some of the features found on the more deluxe mobile CB radios such as an SWR meter or adjustable microphone gain, but it is fully comparable to most mid-range mobile CBs while providing quick car-to-car portability. Although this CB includes a smaller 7 built-in antenna, keep in mind that CB radios operate at a fairly low frequency (27 MHz). Just like your cars AM/FM radio (0.5 to 108 MHz) with its outside antenna, youll really need to use the included 10 outside antenna with its magnetic base to get reasonably good range. Lacks Single Side Band capability, but if your intent is acquiring random road and speed trap tips from strangers, you really dont need that anyway.

Pros: This unit is an excellent choice if you need quick, easy car-to-car portability. Just plug into your cigarette lighter and hit the road. No installation time or trouble. It can use the built-in 7 rubber antenna or, for longer range, the included 10 antenna which can temporarily attach to your vehicles roof or trunk with its magnetic base. Can also operate with 9 AA type batteries (not included). This unit has the same 4 watt power of the bigger, mobile CBs, so you dont give up power for portability. The LCD channel display is backlit and also includes meters for signal strength and battery level. Also includes 10 weather channels and a couple of unique features: an ability to scan all 40 channels (much like a police scanner) and a feature called Dual Watch, which allows you to monitor any two channels simultaneously. Includes cigarette cord, belt clip, wrist strap, built-in 7 antenna and an alternative 10 external antenna with magnetic base.
