The XTN446 is built to the high standards of durability and reliability that users have come to expect from Motorola and has undergone Accelerated Life Testing, which simulates five years hard use in the field.

With improvements to Motorola's high performance batteries, the XTN446 can work long shifts without recharging. When a spare recharged battery is not available it can also be fitted with four standard AA (alkaline) batteries without the need of an adaptor.
