Nowenjoy . I hope you love this recipe . I have been making it this wayfor years and there is not ever any left overs. This is also goodvegetarian style . Just do not add the bacon and substitute
the milkand sour cream.

Turnthe stove off and let stand for about 10 to 15 minutes and serve. Ilove to make garlic crescent rolls with my soup . Yet this is up to you, the soup is great just by itself.
Drainthe potatoes into a colander and turn off the stove. Put the potatoesback into the stock pot. Add the can of celery soup on top. I usecondensed soup for this. I then add 2 cups of milk . Throw in the baconand garlic . Then mix in the butter and sour cream. Mix it up very well, but be gentle so you do not mash the potatoes. Turn the burner backon to simmer. Add in the as you are stirring when simmering . The slow simmer will thicken it up. If it happens to get too thick add a little more milk . I taste it asI go . If it needs more salt or pepper I will add it . We all likedifferent things !
*Now your potatoes should be well on their way to being done . It shouldtake about 30 mins to 45 mins to get them right. You do not want toover cook them because you will end up with mashed potatoes. So checkthem frequently. I use a fork . If they split nicely without mashingthey are done. You also do not want crunchy potatoes in your soup . Sokeep an eye out.
*Now put the bacon and the garlic on a paper towel and plate. Cover itwith another paper towel . This will help soak up excess oil.
Nextpull out your bacon . Put the bacon in a frying pan , the same way youwould cook it for breakfast. As you are frying the bacon add theworchester sauce to it , this will add a hint of rustic flavor. Alsoadd in the .Drain a bit of the oil from the bacon when finished frying . The mincedgarlic should be a bit brown. Make sure you put the garlic in quicklybecause bacon fries very fast.
Peelyour potatoes . I tend to leave on a little bit of skin . Make sure thepotatoes are clean and rinse them twice after peeling. Cut the potatoesin about 1/2 inch cubes . The sizes of the cubes will vary of course sodo not worry if one is a little bigger than the other. Put your cutpotatoes in your .Fill with water till the potatoes are slightly covered , about an inchover. Turn on the stove to high and let the potatoes cook.
