Headings on curtains come in a variety of styles. Sometimes the choice is purely aesthetic but you may want to consider their practicality. Below is a guide to address these issues:
If your main concern is to clear the window as much as possible when the curtains are stacked back (this is a big concern when light in the room is limited) then you want to consider an Eyelet or
Pinch Pleat heading.
Eyelets are a modern and functional alternative. They may also prove to be more economical as you need less fullness in your curtains.
Pencil, King Pleat, Pelmet, Gathered and Chef's Cap will work on all windows. For larger curtains they will give a very dressed look to the window.
Tab, Channel and Tie Top are not very functional and will be very difficult to operate with big curtains. Use them for narrower windows or to dress a window as a single curtain or as dress curtains
on bigger windows!
Goblet does not stack well but works with dress curtains.
