The cloth used is fine muslin cotton (strong, sheer cotton cloth of plain weave), known for its outstanding softness, comfort and durability. Traditionally, each finished garment goes through a harsh starch wash that initially gives the garment a stiff feel. Subsequently, wash after wash the garment offers a flowery softness unique to the muslin fabric.
