After the earthquake which devestated India in 2000, her husband was left crippled, and her home and entire village ruined. She became the bread winner for the family including her three children. She began making these quilts by hand as her only income source, hoping to make enough to support her family and put her children through school.We than put the idea to put into a small home manufacturing unit to help these kind of families under one roof.
