As per story, Late Sh. Jai Dutt Joshi, resident of Distt. Pithoragarh Uttarakhand was a Batalian Pandit( priest) in British Army.He was serving somewhere in the border area.One of the army officer of that batalian came in a grip of serious disease.His life was in danger. Batalian Pandit Sh. Joshi treated and cured him with the traditional herbal medicines. After recovery from his illness the officer gifted this carpet to him.This carpet has been used so many times in the family functions.There is some vertical injury in the center of the object. But the weaving, colors and design are in fine condition.
Flowers and leaves are shining in this carpet.High quality of woolen threads of various colors are used in the carpet.
