Black Radish

Black Radish: Another large radish, though more pungent in flavor than the watermelon radish. It is as striking in appearance, with a black skin and white flesh. It can be used as a garnish, grated raw into salads, or peeled and cooked like turnips. Black radishes were used for medicinal purposes in ancient Egypt, and are still considered to have healthful properties.
