Onion

* Tolerant to Downy Mildew.

* Highly tolerant to Pink Root being one of the biggest restriction problems in onion production areas.

* Mean bulb weights are 150 grams.

* Well adapted to areas used intensively to produce onion in Turkey.

* Yields 4 - 7 metric tons of bulbs per da.  Bulbs are very uniform, and reach maturity in 110 to 115 days from seeding.

* Skin color is light pink, and flesh color is white.

* It is storable for long period even though it possesses lower number of dry skins.

* Harvest period is from July to August.  Storage period is about 6-8 months and it can be stored until February to March at arid climate in Central Anatolia.

* Seeding period is from January to April, but February to March is suggested where weather permits.  500 to 800 grams of seeds are planted per da.

* Forms healthy and high yielding plant in Central Anatolia climate where severe winter weather exist.

* High soluble solid, suitable for dehydration industry.
