Hioxifilcon (HEMA-GMA) is a new concept in hydrogels. It is a non-ionic material and therefore does not attract deposits and has an extremely high water balance.

The water balance index is a very important property when evaluating any material. This refers to the parameter used to measure the ability to maintain the water content, and it is measured by the ratio obtained by dividing the time 10% of the lens weight takes to become dehydrated by the time that takes the same 10% to become re-hydrated.

The result is a lens that does not dry out which maintains the BC diameter and power parameters constant thereby offering its users exceptional stable and comfortable vision day after day.
