The Lyre of Abraham is made from the finest part of Langka (jackfruit) wood, the brilliant and resonating sound it produces is comparable to other woods available in the Philippines. It is
elegantly handcarved in Paete, Laguna, the carving capital of the Philippines.
The Lyres strings are imported from Sweden. The pegs and wrench are made of stainless steel metal which are locally fabricated. The bridge connecting the strings from the hole to the pegs are
made of Maulawin hard wood (the wood used as tracks in railroads). The Lyre is finished in bees wax for non-toxicity of the instrument and is designed with a symbol of A, from the first letter
of the Philippine manuscript ALIBATA, this mirrors that the Lyre is proudly Philippine-made!
