The profound simplicity of this guitar resonates within. From the ultra light under/over impedance matching bridge, to the lacewood perfling that glistens and flashes with a striking subtlety that somehow seems to speak to your soul.

Resonance is the nectar of sound that spills from within an instrument. It splashes in ones ears and pools in ones soul. Fear not immersion. Fear never getting wet.

With deep roots in the past, the G2 steel string boldly journeys into the future. The Brazilian Rosewood and Ivory impedance matched bridge, floats amid the shimmering golden backdrop of Bear-Claw Spruce. Saturated with fine details, this guitar dazzles with an elegant grace. The innovative double laminated, slotted headstock provides unparalleled strength and beauty. The ebony and lacewood bound side sound-port leave the asymmetrical top unimpeded for maximum energy, efficiency and tone.

This is what happens when you close your eyes and let your ears tell you where the hole belongs.

"The end result of this radical bracing and placement of holes in strange places, is a bass that rumbles in your chest that is lively, percussive, and rich, a midrange that is complex and balanced, and trebles that ring crisp, clear, and full." - Tom Bills

"The bracing on the Genesis differs radically from the traditional X brace. It consists of six sets of tone bars radiating out from the bridge location as opposed to the two main bars in the traditional X. The bridge on the Genesis is used to couple the braces radiating out from under it, and to transfer the string energy to the top as efficiently as possible. The lengths of the braces vary in relation to the frequency it is desired to produce, in a sense, creating an area of least resistance for specific frequencies. For example, longer tone bars are used on the bass side of the top to take advantage of the asymmetrical shape and added sound-board due to the lack of sound hole in the top, and produce larger bass wavelengths in relation to the lower strings. On the treble side the tone bars are very short so as to provide a diaphragm that is more easily resonated in the higher frequencies in relation to the upper strings. All tone bars are hand split and great care is taken to insure perfect grain orientation and stiffness to weight ratios. This is of great importance so as to insure a balanced and even response in all frequencies. The structural tension of the back plate is carried off the vibrating surface via flying braces. This system provides a very ridged body structure while leaving the back plate nearly tension free to resonate."

"The soundhole on the Genesis is on the side of the guitar instead of the top. I'll have to admit the first time I saw a guitar with this type of soundhole placement, I was very skeptical- but after the first strum I was hooked. It just makes so much sense. When we move the hole off the top we can almost double the size of the portion of the soundboard that produces sound. It's that simple. I took it one step further and stretched out the bass side of the guitar shape to give it a longer diaphragm on the bass side."

"The Genesis model incorporates a bracing system whose foundation was inspired by the work of Richard Schnider and Dr. Michel Kasha. Tom Bills first learned the Kasha style of building from Boaz Elkyam one of Richard's former students, the main collaborator at present with Dr. Kasha, and master luthier in his own right."
