Contrary to the full-sized aircraft, however, we used a differentmethod of controlling the model: by changing the angle of incidence ofeach of the wing halves.
Actuated by two servos via a mixer the individual or parallelchanging of wing halves incidence provides for the elevator andaileron function.
As with the real sailplane, also the model is designed for an aerotow. Because of that the kit contains parts for the controllable towcable coupling.
To the model also a supplementary power unit is added. This setcontains a swing-out pylon and all necessary components (motor, propeller hub, propeller, controller and accumulator).
In gliding flight the pylon is retracted, but once you advance thethrottle, the propeller thrust erects the pylon to the workingposition.
The model is suitable for both slope-flying and thermalling. It isideal to launch it either by using the swing-out power unit or the aerotow.
The model is viceless, but still it is not intended for complete beginners.
You will need:

Astir Powerplant
!!total weight of the powerplant:30 grams only!!
The Astir powerplant is designed to power small models of up to150 grams weight. It is of a swing-out pylon design, with all necessarycomponents (motor, propeller hub, propeller, controller,
accumulator).
On the Astir model the pylon remains retracted in the glidingflight, lying against the fuselage; applying of power (throttling up)causes the pylon to swing up, pulled by the thrust of the
propeller.
The powerplant can be used also on other models, both with a pylon or without it.
The package contains:
1 x pylon, piano wire, 1,5mm diameter
1 x tube
3 x end stop, glassfibre plate)
2 x bolt, M2x6
2 x nut, M2
2 x washer, 2,2mm
1 x AC motor with propeller boss, 2000 RPM/Volt; weight, including the boss and mounting flange 9 g
1 x AC controller, 6 A, weight 6 g
1 x accumulator, LiPo 2S1P, 200mAh, weight 14 g
1 x propeller, GWS 4/4
