TRUCK - ISUZU 10 TONS

In June 2008, the name MUGEN TRADING was changed to MUGEN TRADING, MOTORWORKS AND REBUILDING CENTER, in compliance with DTI Administrative Order No. 8 Series of 2003 regarding the Mandatory Accreditation of Re-building Centers)

Due to MUGENs reputation to meet delivery requirements, several government contracts for the supply-delivery and maintenance of Suzuki Barangay patrol units have been served. Suzuki delivery vans were delivered to a big Korean Electronics giant (service-delivery vehicles of their dealers) and a couple of transport service cooperatives have ordered their requirements from MUGEN.

Starting 2003, MUGEN expanded its operations to the re-assembly and re-conditioning of the very affordable and versatile Suzuki converted to barangay patrols, passenger transporters and cargo carriers in various sizes and shapes customized to customer specifications. Every now and then there are buyers for bigger trucks such as Isuzu Forward, Isuzu Elf, Mitsubishi Canters and dump trucks as well as closed container (Aluminium and GI) vans.

In 1998, the boom in the transport requirements of Cavite and other nearby provinces including Metro Manila necessitated the transfer of MUGEN operations to its present locations starting initially with a rented vacant lot measuring 400 sq. meters. Other nearby lots were subsequently and additionally rented which now totals 8 lots/ 1800 sq. meters.

Initially, MUGEN TRADING rented a store-shop along the Aguinaldo Highway at Niog, Bacoor, Cavite at the same time maintaining a bodega-warehouse at the back of this store totalling 700 sq. meters. The basic and main activity then was the wholesale and retail of surplus engines, parts and accessories (mainly Japanese) and the assembly and sale of owner type jeeps as customers required. Two all-around mechanics and 2 helpers assisted in this operation while Gina and Sever Ramos handled the management, sales and delivery.

After successfully managing for three years the sales activity of one of the major Chinese importers of Japanese surplus engines, parts and accessories in Manila at that time, Gina Dela Cruz Ramos (then 27 years old and a Commerce graduate) together with husband Severino T. Ramos (then 26 years old and a Civil Engineer) also then an accomplished sub-dealer-supplier-trader of the same product line, established MUGEN TRADING, a single proprietorship company in 1994.
