Price/Menu Shift Keys
2 Price levels for each menu item cater for special promotions. Single touch access, with keylock control where required The keyboard menu and menu sheet can be quickly and easily changed. 3 menus to be accessed, with optional keylock control, either permanently or temporarily as required.

Stock Control and Constants
8 Stock calculation constants make inventory easy and exact (number, weight, volume, etc). Utilizing link PLU allows for stock control of multi-ingredient items.

Better Management Features
Adjustments
Each PLU can be preset as 1 and/or 2, flagging a programmable mark-down or mark-up percentage. A powerful time-saver for gift shops, clothing and discount stores, adjustment also ensures complete control of CASHIER discount operations.

Arrangement
4 arrangement keys can be programmed to perform sequential operations of up to 20 steps each. Operators can use one key for items sold as a set, eg. lunch

Tip/Cashier
The tip feature allows tip amounts to be entered separately or to be included in the change. 23 cashiers, each with a max. of 4 digits, personal ID can be assigned to 1~10 hard keys

Recall
In dealing with long queues, a 1st customer's transaction may be closed by a media key and later retrieved while in a 2nd customer's transaction by depressing the "RECALL" key.

Post Receipt
A detailed journal records all transactions and a fully itemized customer receipt can be issued on demand even after a transaction has been finalised. A full VAT receipt can be issued as and when required by key selection. An order confirmation slip can also be issued if required prior to finalisation and full receipt issue.

Security Features
The UX-40 has a host of features and options to ensure maximum security and protection at all levels, such as closed drawer enforcement, compulsory cash declaration, voids and refund under manager control, time of power off/on printed on journal, "clear" key control, and manager and auditor keylock functions with PIN number entry option.

Interface
An optional interface board "I F021-1" can be added as field options. There are two ports: Channel A (RS485) for ICR with max. 31 units of UX40, max 4 units of TP-420 Kitchen printer and max. 4 units of TP620 slip printer. Channel B (RS232C) for PC communications (program load from PC polling X/Z reports)
