 For it's ninth season Chulo Pony explores the Silk Road, the ancient route of caravans and kings that first connected Europe with the Far East. The tale of Prias and Miriam, the wandering puppet maker and his beloved marionette, captures the whimsical and romantic feel of Chulo Pony's 9th season. Sexy yet subtle silhouettes mixed with Japanese styling are featured throughout the line, including vests with waist ties in herringbone cotton and linen, mini-skirts and shorts in cotton sateen, kimono sleeve jackets with wide waist ties and multi-print wrap dresses in combinations of silk and cotton voile. Hand-stitched embroidery and muted embellishments give the collection an added feminine touch. A subdued color palette comprised of soft, somber shades in charcoal grey, muddy sage and vintage indigo provides a nice complement to bold prints in silk charmeuse and cotton eyelets in bright, hot colors.
