KI2 THE CLOTHES THAT SPEAKS FOR YOU

Ki2 is a new brand born from an idea or Rachael Mutindi Maithya, a young Kenyan designer and her Sicilian partner Davide Signa.

The brightly coloured clothes and accessories proposed by Ki2 are creatively designed, fusing creatively African materials, European fashion and the principles of  slow clothing.

In fact, all Ki2 items are totally handmade using exclusively natural materials and are produced in very limited amounts.

Our skirts, dresses, kaftans, shirts, bags, beach towels etc are all created only from a very characteristic pure cotton fabric coming from the coast of Eastern Africa: the kanga.
Kangas are a popular way of dress and a mode of communication along the coast of east Africa because each piece of kanga carries with it a message in the wisdom of the Swahili people.

And Ki2 is now transforming the kangas into stylish clothes that speak for you!

We believe in celebrating life in colour, transforming peoples relationship with their clothes to fuel personal creativity and most importantly, reduce the distance between the tailor and the wearer.

Our style is to creatively design and produce unique pieces in that, thanks to the elaborated patterns iof the kangas, no one product looks like any other contrary to modern trends in mass production Each buyer of our products is the only owner of that product in the entire world.

Moreover, following the ethics of fair trade and ethical fashion, we are working in collaboration with a groups of disadvantaged women that we train and offer support.

And thats what gives style, a conscience and a special meaning to our products.
